I believe the acceptance speech included this quote: “In the name of our future, in the name of all our children, stop all of these wars now.” I have not seen the film; I have shied away from all documentaries actually, because I’m living it in eastern Ukraine. As far as entertainment went, 2025 was pretty good. I was pretty busy with work and current events, but what I did see was mostly stellar. Highlights Severance Seasons One and Two. We went to go see the Russian translation of Pan's Labyrinth (Lavirint Favna), and what can I say; I haven't wanted my money back from a movie in quite a while. From watching the trailer, you are drawn into the idea that the movie will be a message of triumph over evil, and that all will be well. Much like another movie that played last summer, Mirrormask, it is about a young girl with a mother in peril.
